Hello Jeyan and Doyle,

Great thinking ahead to you both!  Getting outside is always a great way to take a breather too and move after eating.  I know most of us eat more than than usual at this time of the year.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving to you both and everyone- always something to remember to be grateful for.

I am on my last day of my first week.  Feeling good but I haven't been really challenged as I was sick with the stomach flu for 72hrs.  So I am back in shape and craving a little.  It's much better than I thought it would be seeing as we're in the weekend.  I am coughing a lot though.  For Thanksgiving, I will try and make a point to get outside for some deep breaths and short quick walks to get the adrenaline going.  Like Jeyan posted, I will make sure everyone around me knows that I am quitting smoking.  Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!  Hope you're having a nice smoke free day.

Sarah, I think it's always good to prepare for it if we think we could fall to it. I would tell the friends and relatives that I quit smoking, thus will stay away from alcohol and smokes so that they don't bother me. :)

This Thanksgiving weekend, for many, brings turkey & stuffing & all the trimmings! It can also be tempting to those who have quit smoking, or are making changes to their smoking: family stress, alcohol, and a few days off can all be potential triggers to smoke. Please share some of your best used strategies to overcome the cravings and urges to smoke during a holiday weekend. Wishing you all a happy and restful Thanksgiving. Gobble gobble! Sarah
