Thank you oh wise Braveheart! Your words, along with those of smitty and sparky are like flypaper to me! Having said that, everyone here at SHO has helped me see the end of zombie month (a milestone 29 1/2 days ago I thought would NEVER get here). Thank you all! Enjoy the rest of your summer Braveheart. All of us here completely understand your need to gradually return to the sidelines , and we appreciate any time you have given us, and are able to in future. Best, Canuck

This is a simple reminder that comes from an effective ad that ran often while I was on my quit. It was simply the statement that "It is my time" to quit. I said that to myself many times in the early days, and it helped! I don't think I can describe well enough to the members here that this is a personal decision and while you will get lots of support here and hopefully elsewhere, it is you that are on this journey. Holding tight to mantra's such as NOPE (Not One Puff Ever), developing new routines and having a well thought out but flexible plan is critical. Don't forget to take extra good care of yourself while on your journeys. Reward yourselves often at significant milestones and plan ahead for them if you can so you always have something to look forward to. This is also my time to gradually return to the sidelines and take on a less active role. I do plan on stopping by more frequently than I have over the past several years though. I hope to see some of the old time threads that were re-introduced, such as the climb up Old Smoke-Free Mountain and the Lodge continue as they were of great assistance to many members from the time I was on my own journey. I wish everyone all the very best and hope that over time you will greatly enjoy the freedom that you will earn for yourselves!
